General TabThe General tab features various configuration, auto-fill and display options. Use the IDEF0 StandardTurning on the IDEF0 standard adds the IDEF0 tab to the Properties dialog box of an Activity. Auto-fill Node roles based on previous entriesOn drill-down, this option automatically adds the Process Owner field to the Node, based on the last time this value was entered on the Node Properties dialog box. Auto-fill Node version management based on previous entriesOn drill-down, this option automatically adds the Author, Version, Revision, Last Revised and Last Revised By fields to the Node, based on the last time these values were entered on the Node Properties dialog box. NOTE: Do not enable this option if you are using Triaster's recommended approval process as it interferes with the automated version incrementing feature in Triaster Server. Alert the user on invalid connection and request actionIf selected (recommended) the following Connectivity Rules prompt is displayed if there is an attempt to connect Deliverables together, or Activities together: If the option is not selected, Process Navigator makes no attempt to enforce Triaster map logic. Note that this will make it more difficult at a later stage to consolidate and analyse the process maps you create, so we strongly recommend that you follow the map logic. Auto-expand element property groupsWhen adding properties to Activities, Deliverable or Nodes, the default is to have the property groups expanded. When this option is disabled, the property groups are collapsed as shown below. Use the Role Clarity tabWith the Use the Role Clarity tab option disabled, a user can type in any text to define the job roles in the People and Organisation fields on the Activity Properties tab. Enable this option if you want to display the Role Clarity tab on an Activity’s Properties dialog box and restrict users to choose from the specified job roles. This also removes the People and Organisation group from the Properties tab. Display additional info on ActivitiesThis option has two settings once enabled; either ID & Level or Responsibility. If these are enabled then the Process Navigator shapes are automatically amended to include those details at the bottom of the shape as shown below:
ID, Level and Responsibility values are taken from the shape’s properties:
